Korea Trip Part 1: Duty Free Shopping

I don’t know why I’m starting this “series” backwards, starting at what I did last – right before I headed back to Hong Kong. I think it’s just the easiest for me to access the products that I just bought instead of rummaging through my luggage! (I also had 2 hours of sleep and just got home from the airport, so excuse me if I don’t make sense anywhere!)

The Incheon Airport in Seoul, Korea, has quite an impressive shopping area after you pass customs and security. It’s full of luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Hermes, Miu Miu, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., etc. It also has a lot of “grouped” stores such as ones that has a bunch of cosmetic brands, or fashion accessory, or food etc. I am so glad I went to the airport early, because there are so much to shop here! A quick preview of my haul in Korea

so far… It’s only my 2nd day here (well technically 1.5 days). Will be posting details about what I got, when I get back to HK and have more time!

Neutrogena Canada 60th Anniversary Sample Pack

A while ago Neutrogena Canada put out this amazing freebie, as a celebration of their 60th anniversary! Basically they had a site where you can pick 5 deluxe samples or coupons, and they will mail it to you! I completely forgot about that until I got it in my mail recently. I am really excited about trying some of these products so I decided to share it with you all first about what I chose/got! Continue reading

May Luxe Box!

This was my first Luxebox, and I was originally super excited about it. I was out of the city for a bit so when I got back, the first thing I did was rushing to the mailbox to get my parcel. And then I opened it and found two boxes in it! But the excitement ended about there, because I opened it and looked at what I got, and I immediately decided I am cancelling my subscription. Crabtree & Evelyn Mini (Free) Haul

I have always wanted to try things from Crabtree & Evelyn, especially their hand cream. But I ended up going for L’occitane because they had a free sample offered on Facebook a while back. Now Crabtree & Evelyn followed suit, and had a offer for free body lotion on Facebook a while back, and I finally went and got my free body lotion.

(my apologies for the absolutely crap-tastic lighting!)

The offer was for an Avocado, Olive & Basil body lotion or shower gel,  but when I went to the store to redeem it, the girl said they were out of the Avocado body lotion (I have no use of another shower gel). I was a little bummed thinking I will need to get the shower gel, but the girl then said you can pick from any of these body lotion, and she offered the Citron, Honey & Coriander Skin Quenching Body Lotion, Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed Skin Quenching Body Lotion, and the Iris Body Lotion. She said the pomegranate and iris ones are better for dry skin, but I personally am not a great fan of floral scent, and for some reason the pomegranate scent really put me off, so I went for the citron one since it smells super fresh and revitalizing! It smells exactly like lemonade! Yummmm.

Since they didn’t have the avocado body lotion, the sales lady also gave me a sample pack of the avocado, olive & basil ultra-moisturizing hand therapy. She also threw in a sample of Wisteria body lotion, which is a line that she said is launching in a month (in Canada I assume, I would also assume it would be the same in the states). I love free samples!

Here are the ingredient lists!

I will try these out and maybe post a review in the future! Have a great day everyone! 🙂
