Well.ca Haul and Experience Review

A little while ago Well.ca was having a sale on some CoverGirl products, so I took advantage of that and got a few things from the website. This is my first time placing an order from them so I decided to post a review about them also.

First let’s get on with the haul, all the CoverGirl products I got were 50% off, including the Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in the shades Black Diamond, Constant Candy, and Perfect Penny (Right to Left). I originally got 3 of the CoverGirl Jumbo Gloss Balm, in the shades Rose Twist (top), Blush Twist (bottom), and Ruby Twist, which unfortunately was not packed with my package. Instead, they packed the Rimmel Stay Glossy Lipgloss in the shade All Night Long (more on this matter in a bit). I also picked up the CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara in Very Black because I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about it. To bring my total up to enough for free shipping, I picked up the Tresemme Nourishing Rituals Rejuvenating Mud Masque, since I have been quite into hair masks lately, in hopes to salvage my damaged hair.

When I found out they packed the wrong item, I was NOT happy, especially because I was super excited to try Ruby Twist. So I gave them a call, and first, I didn’t have to wait in line, and the customer service was really nice and helpful. After I explained what happened, she told me she would refund me for the Jumbo Gloss Balm that I didn’t get, and told me to keep the Rimmel lipgloss. I also got my refund within 10 minutes of hanging up, which I think is amazingly fast. Apart from this little fiasco, the whole shopping experience on their site was very smooth, and items shipped the next day, and I got them within 2 days. Sephora Haul with NARS Foreplay

Disclaimer: I did this haul online way BEFORE I started my Project Pan, but I just got it when I flew home yesterday! Anyways, words cannot describe how excited I was about getting the NARS Foreplay Cheek Palette in my hands!

Hong Kong MAC Haul Round 2

Yeap. Another MAC haul. I went all out yesterday, after finding out that most basically everything from MAC is cheaper in HK than in Canada (taking tax into consideration). I swear this is the last haul I’m doing in Hong Kong, and I will be starting a project 20 pan when I get back to Canada! (I apologize for the quality of the pictures, but the lighting at the place I’m staying at isn’t the most idea for picture taking. I will be posting reviews on these when I get home, along with better pictures!)

Collective Drugstore Haul

I think I have frequented Mannings so much that I should become a VIP there. I went there twice in the past couple days and picked up a few things (again).

Hong Kong Haul: Bobbi Brown

I did not actually need anything from Bobbi Brown, but yesterday I realized that their price for certain items are much cheaper here than Canada, so today I visited one of their standalone store in Festival Walk and picked up a few things!

Korea Trip Part 1: Duty Free Shopping

I don’t know why I’m starting this “series” backwards, starting at what I did last – right before I headed back to Hong Kong. I think it’s just the easiest for me to access the products that I just bought instead of rummaging through my luggage! (I also had 2 hours of sleep and just got home from the airport, so excuse me if I don’t make sense anywhere!)

The Incheon Airport in Seoul, Korea, has quite an impressive shopping area after you pass customs and security. It’s full of luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Hermes, Miu Miu, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., etc. It also has a lot of “grouped” stores such as ones that has a bunch of cosmetic brands, or fashion accessory, or food etc. I am so glad I went to the airport early, because there are so much to shop here!

Hong Kong Day 1 Haul

Oh my god. It’s so humid and hot here, I feel like I’m in a sauna all the time. Thank goodness for the air conditioner, otherwise I am pretty sure I would’ve had a heat stroke by now. I am not even kidding, with humidex it feels like 40+ everyday, and it’s a different kind of heat. In Canada (at least in Manitoba and Ontario), when it hits 46 on the super rare occasions, it is still much more bearable, because it is “dry-heat”, but in Hong Kong, the humidity makes it absolutely gross. I walked out for 5 minutes and I wanted to rush home and take a shower, yah, that’s how gross it is.

On the bright side, the transits, and the malls are very well air-conditioned in Hong Kong. On that note, if you ever travel to Hong Kong in the summer, make sure you bring a jacket with you (no matter how hot it is outside), because once you step into a bus, a mall, a restaurant, or any public indoor places, you will feel like it’s less than 20C. No kidding. It’s quite annoying, since it’s so easy for me to get sick when I go between high and low temperature.

Enough of me blabbing on about the less-than-enjoyable weather in Hong Kong, and onto my haul!

Airport Duty Free Haul

So uhhhhh I did not expect myself to be spending this much money before I even leave the country… but hey it’s duty free! I’m actually sitting at the airport waiting to board (almost the end of my 7 hour layover at Vancouver airport!), so I decided to do a quick post before my long flight! 

Mini Covergirl Haul

Well… I saw a $4 off $15 coupon at Superstore for Covergirl products… so yeah that’s my excuse for now. I got another Lip Perfection Lipstick, because I loved my first one so much. This time I got it in the shade Heavenly. It’s a muted pink, and I think it will be very suitable for everyday wear! I am very excited to try it and see if it lasts nearly as long as the other one (Fairytale, reviewed here)!
