Thirsty Thursday… Nutella Hot Chocolate

Despite the gorgeous weather yesterday, it is rainy, windy, and gloomy out today. I have a love-hate relationship with rain. I hate it most of the time, since well… who likes getting all splashed with dirty water from passing cars, or being fearful of stepping on all those wormies that come out (argh gross). On another note, when I don’t need to go out, it’s actually quite relaxing to be enjoying the warmth of being in my place, who cares what’s going on outside! And it gives me another reason to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate.

I have always been making hot chocolate from store brought hot chocolate mix, but I saw this on Pinterest today and it has totally changed that (probably forever). It’s a recipe of homemade nutella hot chocolate. MMMMM. Nutella and hot chocolate? Sounds like heaven to me. It also seems to be super easy to make! I will definitely be trying this once I get back home (I’m kind of in limbo in terms of living situation right now since I basically moved out of my old apartment: YAY for being done my undergrad degree! But I also have a conference to go to soon so I can’t go back home yet…) And it would be rude to make this now since my nutella will kill my boyfriend… guess this has to wait a couple weeks! I just wanted to share this with you all since it looks absolutely delicious! Lots of thanks to The Hungry Housewife for sharing this recipe!

For 1 Serving:
1 cup milk
2 1/2 Tbsp Nutella
1 Tbsp Cocoa
Pinch of Salt

Add all ingredients in a small sauce pan over medium heat, until well mixed and hot. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy!

Dinner @ Auberge du Petit Prince

Last week boyfriend and I went for a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary (kind of.. 4.5 counts right? lol!) I have been to Auberge du Petit Prince with my roommate before during Londonlicious (similar to winterlicious/summerlicious in Toronto, but in London). And I really liked it so I decided to bring boyfriend there since it’s probably my favourite restaurant in town.

The restaurant itself is a two story house, it’s really cozy, with a big room for events. The first time I went there, there was a wedding reception, and this time there’s some corporate event, and then a birthday party. It was on a Thursday night also, I am so glad we made a reservation!

NOTD: Zoya Farah + Glitters

Oops my apologies for the lack of posts lately! Exams are in full force right now… so I figured school is a little more important (just a tad bit though). So here’s a quick NOTD post. I used Zoya’s Farah (2 coats), and then on my ring finger I added glitters before the top coat dried… Lets see how long this glitter lasts…. with all the dishes I do and being just a clumpsy person in general… I would not be surprised if that’s gone by tomorrow haha! What are you wearing on your nails today?

On a random note: I used to absolutely dislike this song, but after hearing this cover, I love love LOVE it! It’s all I’m listening to now. Chad Sugg is soooooooooo hot omg. <3

Mini Haul (Lancome + Macadamia Natural Oil)

Hmmm so… the last thing I should be doing is shopping, seeing how exams are coming up and I really need to study, but I saw a GWP promotion at Lancome, and I just got sucked in, and headed to the mall with pearlessence!

I picked up the Teint Miracle foundation from Lancome. I have been using the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 14 hours this winter but it’s getting a little too heavy for Spring/Summer. Teint Miracle is a natural, light-weight foundation, with “AURA-INSIDE” technology to make the skin “lit-from-within”. It states that it has moderate coverage, natural finish. I got it in the shade Buff 2(W). I also absolutely LOVE the packaging!

NARS Blush in Dolce Vita Review/Swatch

This was the first NARS blush I bought, and this is what started the unhealthy, expensive lust over NARS blushes. I love NARS’ packaging (of any of their products), the quality of these blushes are phenomenal.

Dolce Vita is a dusty rose colour with subtle shimmer. According to NARS’ website, Dolce Vita is a matte dusty rose… why are there shimmer in mine? (For those of you that own this blush… does yours have shimmer too?) 

Covergirl Eyeshadow in Tapestry Taupe Review/Swatch

I picked this up when I was at Shoppers Drug Mart another day to return the Yes to Cucumber Facial Wipes (reviews coming soon). I had a $4 off coupon so I decided to pick this shadow up since I’ve heard many beauty gurus mention this in their videos.

According to Covergirl, these Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows are “Simple, single shades with an advanced, stay-put formula. Mix and match them the way you want to create your own combos with matte, pearly or sparkly shades! They blend easily to let the natural beauty of your eyes come through.” I picked it up in Tapestry Taupe, since I am addicted to neutral shadows lately.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Primrose Review/Swatch

This is another product I picked up during my haul last Thursday with pearlessence. I am currently going through this lipstick phase where I basically always get a lipstick when I’m at Sephora.
